how do you potty train an older dog?

my yorkie is 8 months old and i can not get her potty trained. she uses puppy pads. but thats it.

Dogs & puppies need to pee:

1) after they eat
2) after they sleep
3) after they play

Take her out all those times, have a phrase you say like “okay, go potty” DO NOT turn it into play time. If she doesn’t go, pick her up and bring her back in, then after about 10 minutes take her out again. When she does go, make a big production out of it “Yay” “Good Girl” clap your hands, give her a treat.
